Within my experience of editing both visually and audibly, I have had the opportunity to use a wide range of  software

I am notably confident in my use of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve and Avid Media Composer

I have more recently started getting to learn photo editing as there can be a fair amount of crossover between the skills learnt, I mostly use Photopea as it is a free open source software with similar properties to Adobe Photoshop

Editing Skills

Throughout my couple of years editing, I have learnt to easily apply many skills into my edits; using speed ups, reversing and slowing down for effect, transitioning between different clips or scenes as well as mixing and fixing audio

One of the more technical aspects of editing that I have achieved to a competent degree is tracking.

So far there have been two ways I have established tracking: through motion text and colour grading with masking

I tend to do this through Davinci Resolve's fusion page using the tracking node

Colour Grading Skills

In terms of colour grading, I have been able to achieve and can consistently use various skill such as:

- masking/isolating a particular section of a video/photo

- using LUTs

- optimising colour grading curves

- reading waveform graphs

- tracking colour grading with masks

- competent colour correction

When it comes to particular software, I find that Davinci Resolve has the best colour correction and grading capacity with it's wide range of LUTs and variety of primary and HDR wheels.

I also find that the software's node based system is immensely effective for more consistent grading and easy to use once learnt
